Playoff Challenge How-To-Guide

How it works: The Playoff Challenge is a fantasy football game where contestants pick players they think will do well throughout the course of the NFL playoffs. If one or more of a contestant’s players gets eliminated from the playoffs, the contestant must replace that player with a new one the following week.

Scoring: In general, scoring in the playoff challenge is similar to that of traditional fantasy football: offensive players earn points for yards and touchdowns, defenses earn points for sacks and turnovers, and kickers earn points for field goals. See the bottom of this page for a full list of how player points are scored in the Playoff Challenge. The contestant with the most points scored at the end of the playoffs is the champion.

Multipliers: Unlike traditional fantasy football, the Playoff Challenge awards multipliers to players based on the number of consecutive weeks they have been in a contestant’s lineup. For example, if a contestant selects Patrick Mahomes in week one, Mahomes will earn double points in week two, triple points in week three, and so on for as long as Mahomes remains in the playoffs. Note that this means it can be a viable strategy to select players on bye in week one in order to guarantee a multiplier in week two.

Roster locking: All rosters lock 15 minutes before the first game begins each week. No exceptions. Picks will become visible to the rest of the group shortly after rosters lock.

Other stuff: In order to participate in the Playoff Challenge you need a Google account, which you will need to log into on the picks submission page. Participants can change their lineups as many times as they wish prior to the lock time each week.
